Runy joins us , using her abilities to provide services to adults struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, spirituality, and relationship issues. She also works with those who have experienced sexual assualt and domestic violence. Her courses of education have helped shape an integrative approach towards counseling. Runy does offer Christian Counseling, as spirituality is a component of the counseling process and understanding the dynamic of cognitive-behavioral therapy and other modalities will help provide understanding through the Christian Worldview. However, she is committed to offering the highest quality clinical services to all whom she serves, regardless of religion, or whether the person receiving assistance is seeking specialzed counseling from a Christian perspective or not. She truly welcomes all in her desire to help!
Runy is available to you via Telehealth only (Video or Phone) as she is at home being a wife to her wonderful husband and a mom to a sweet toddler and they have another baby on the way! Her life story has truly brought her to where she is today. Her story has been filled with endless grace, loss, and HOPE! For most of her life, she has wrestled with understanding suffering and how God's grace and mercy is sufficient in all seasons.
To understand this and to possibly relate, most of her childhood to early adult life was marked with heartache, trauma, cultural-bondage and for a long time she wrestled with understanding how she could be deeply loved by a God whom she has never seen and make sense of all that she has experienced in light of being a Chrisitan. As God has faithfully walked alongside of her throughout these years, she says she has witnessed how healing and hope are possible and how God cares about every aspect of our being. She has had seasons where she could not understand her circumstances nor what it meant to be a follower of Christ. She has seen pain, discouragement and suffering (and still does). But through God's grace, love, peace and mercy, she has been able to see the loving heart of Jesus for the broken-hearted. She has experienced deep loss and an immense amount of heartache but has also been a receipent of God's goodness.
Runy recognizes that our experiences shape our understanding of life, relationships, interactions with others, and so much more. As we continue to grow and learn, our thought processes change and our understanding of our experiences begin to look different and sometimes things do not make sense like they used to. She can partner with you to figure this out together. What do your/our struggles, suffering and experiences say about who you/we are?
