Katie Dewhurst, MA, LCMHC holds an undergraduate degree in philosophy from Western Carolina University, a Bible certificate from Columbia International University as well as a master’s degree in professional counseling from Richmont Graduate University. Currently she sees individuals that struggle with relationship issues and coping skills, especially related to anxiety, self-worth, worry and depression. While at graduate school she focused on understanding a dynamic, cognitive-behavioral approach to change, hope, and health. She is one of the few counselors in the area that has specific training in the integration of counseling and spirituality. For more information she has developed a website specifically for those interested in Christian counseling. Katie has lived in the area since 2001 when she came to Western Carolina University and married her husband the year after graduation, a local guy from Franklin. They have two wonderfully rambunctious kids!
