Elizabeth Schane, LPC, LMHC has over a decade of working with children and families. She is a dually licensed counselor in the states of Florida and North Carolina. She earned her undergraduate degree in English/Writing from the University of Central Florida and a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She uses a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy Techniques, and Family Systems.
Her passion is helping others pick up the broken pieces and work toward feeling whole and complete. She loves guiding her clients as they walk through the fear which has kept them feeling trapped, and aims to achieve wellness. She works with children, adolescents, and adults in creating safety in expressing their feelings and improving their relationships with family and friends.
Prior to earning a master's in counseling, she worked as an English teacher in the public school system. As an educator, Elizabeth saw a deficit in family communication and students' self esteem. As a result, she made it her goal to model healthy emotional expression and self acceptance for children in order to foster resiliency and perseverance in life.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys seeing live musical theater and traveling around the world.
